01 · VidAIProduct

An autonomous agent that ships explainer videos

AI · Media

From a short brief to a rendered vertical video — research, script, narration, footage, and edit in one agent loop.

01 · Challenge

Explainer videos usually need research, writing, voice, footage, and edit — five roles, weeks of handoffs, and a budget that kills most ideas before day one.

02 · Move

Build an autonomous production agent: give it an idea and a look, then watch it research, write, storyboard, narrate, collect footage, and assemble — with a human approval gate before the final cut.

03 · Result

A working product loop: brief → live production console → script review → editor → render. Name may change; the system ships.

The case

Most “AI video” tools still ask you to play producer. You feed prompts, hunt clips, stitch timelines, and hope the voiceover lands. VidAI flips that: you state the idea and the look — the agent runs production.

It runs as a working product. Every step is visible. The human stays in the loop where judgment matters — the script — and stays out of the busywork.

The job

Short-form explainers are a production line dressed up as creativity. Research finds the angle. Writing shapes the beats. Voice, footage, captions, and cut turn that into something people watch on a phone.

That stack is expensive when it is five freelancers and a shared folder. It is also fragile: one delayed handoff and the idea dies. VidAI owns the line end to end, so the cost of trying an idea drops to a brief and a review.

How the agent works

You open with a brief: title, idea, style, theme, language. No deck. No shot list. The console then runs the chain — research with sources and reasoning in the open, script generation, storyboard, narration, footage collection, timeline assembly.

Before render, the script hits a gate. Edit it, approve it, or regenerate. That is the control surface. Everything else stays autonomous so you are not approving every micro-cut.

The editor is vertical-first: captions, transitions, narration and music tracks, then MP4 out. The product name may still change. The loop already ships.

Why we built it this way

An agent you can't watch is hard to trust, and one without a human gate is a liability. VidAI has both covered: a live production console you can watch, and a script approval step you can trust.

That pattern shows up across the systems we build — clear job, visible steps, human judgment only where it changes the outcome.

How it runs

  1. 01
    Brief

Title, idea, style, theme, language — enough signal for the agent to start without a creative deck.

  2. 02
    Autonomous production

Research → script → storyboard → narration → footage → timeline. Each step visible in a live console.

  3. 03
    Human gate

Approve or rewrite the script before render. Control where it matters — not on every micro-decision.

  4. 04
    Edit & ship

Vertical editor with captions, transitions, narration, and music tracks — then render MP4.
